Dehong Schools are a group of International Chinese Schools with a sister school relationship to the Dulwich College International (DCI) family of schools. By providing an education based on the academically rigorous Chinese national curriculum, a strong focus on wellbeing, child centred learning and teaching, and international mindedness. Dehong Schools provide a bi-cultural blend of East meets West. Chinese students develop a strong understanding of their heritage, culture and language, and the life skills to succeed in a global world.

The sister school relationship with DCI schools gives Dehong students unique access to the Dulwich network. Students have the opportunity to attend group-wide events spanning the visual and performing arts (music, art, drama, film), sports, as well as leadership and community programmes that drive collaboration across the schools. Furthermore, Dehong schools benefit from DCI’s academic research and development initiatives around inquiry based learning, entrepreneurship, environmentalism, the integration of technology and the Dulwich University counselling programme. DCI has a strong track record of sending students to Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge, as well as to the Ivy League and other leading universities around the world.

The Dehong 德闳 name itself reflects the close relationship with DCI - DE德 from the Chinese name for Dulwich DEWEI 德威 and HONG闳 from RONG HONG 容闳- who was not only the great- grandfather of a co-founder of DCI, but also the first Chinese-born student to graduate from an American university, Yale University.
